It is nearly 80 degrees here at kat's corner this morning and the sun is not even up yet.
I know 80 degrees does not sound like a lot, but it will be a lot warmer later. Thank goodness antebellum builders knew how to compensate for summer. With a few windows and a fan we are quite comfortable right now.
I posted winter pictures the other day and my friend at Life Through Reflections... reminded me that I posted a challenge last winter for summer pictures.
So now I am posting a challenge for winter pictures. There are no prizes, this is just for fun.
So dust off your favorite winter pictures and lets see if we can't all cool down a little.
1. Post your best wintry photos to your blog.
2. Leave a comment here with a link to your photos.
3. Check out the other participants blogs to see there photos.
Easy enough?
My favorite part of these things is getting to share some of my favorite blogs with you.
Here is my entry.
Snowy back steps.
Snowy old oak.
Snowy Barn.
Snowy Antebellum.
There now, don't you feel cooler already?
Cheers,
Kat
haha. thanks for doing your best to hel us break the heat...that last one is just gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteIt feels wonky to behold winter photos in the northern hemisphere while we here in the southern hemisphere are having to deal with our version of winter.
ReplyDeleteNot as grim as yours, perhaps. We rarely get snow, but cold nevertheless.
These photos here, wonderful as they are, leave me feeling I'm caught in some sort of time warp.
Sorry I can't oblige with any photos of my own, non-photographer that I am.
Thanks Kat.
Oh brrrrrrrr!! But such lovely perfect chrismassy pics!! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI only got my digicam a couple of months ago so don't really have any winter pics to share - all I can say is that January was the first time work was called off one day when the weather was so bad - nothing ran - roads/transport etc. Oh seems like ages ago now..!
80 degrees is plenty hot for me!
Take care
x
Oh, count me in.;) I will try to dust of my winter pictures for sure.;))
ReplyDeleteIt is hot here too, unfortunately our heat waves are exactly that; heat waves; they come and go and our last one is about to end, bringing cooler, more traditional Scandinavian weather our way. To my great dismay.
Your winter shots are completely fairy tale like, as your daylight in winter is so different from ours, due to the difference in latitude.,)
Thank you so much for the link and mention dear Kat, stay cool.;)
xoxo
Oh I feel cooler already!
ReplyDeleteStrangely I do feel cooler. Your property is beautiful, no matter what the season. Thanks for the virtual AC!
ReplyDeleteSo, I posted my pictures today dear Kat, but they are nowhere as beautiful as yours.;))
ReplyDeleteHave a great Thursday,
xoxo

Your home is so beautiful, winter or summer, Kat. I always dreamed of living in a Georgia antebellum or a San Francisco Victorian. Neither happened!
ReplyDeleteThanks for trying to cool us down...not sure I have any winter pictures to share, though.I agree with Brian, that last shot is really good.
ReplyDeletechillingly beautiful (sorry, couldn't help the pun)
ReplyDeleteTruly gorgeous, especially the antebellum. thank you!
